Is it Possible to email a tile as a image

Hello all,

What has been asked of me is to determine of it is possible to email as a embeded image (not an iframe) a dashboard widget?

Out of the box it looks like a no, if I get messy and start looking at loading things into streams etc I may (?? really not sure) be able to pull out what I need.

The reason I ask, Is our users are, frankly a little bit lazy when it comes to reviewing say, weekly net invoicing figures. If it was however shoved into an email and put right in their face without having to click or navigate through anything, then they would be far more likely to pay attention. This would then lead to questions, and a greater likelyhood that they would then go and click on a link, navigate through, drill down and do all that good stuff to work out why their figures are the way they are.

I have already built a intranet mvc site that allows our users full interactivity with Reports and Dashboards. The API works great for this purpose.

I am also aware of the ability to share dashboards, however this has its limitations to needing to be a linked microsoft account to actually view it. It also only puts a link in an email. It doesnt put in any image or eye candy to bait the user into action. Another limitation I would like to overcome is to be able to programatically decide when I send an email to a user telling them to come look at something. So all in all, Sharing a dashboard or report does not help what I am trying to do.

Im not asking for any type of interactive image or anything fancy, just a way of specifying one or two tiles to be returned in an image format (say gif) that I can then embed in an email as a teaser to action our users to get in and get on with their Data critique.

Any ideas appreciated.

Thanks,

Andrew
